Network Security Consultant
• Audit the existing SolarWinds implementation, identifying areas for improvement in tool installation, configuration, management, and support. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents or service requests to ensure minimal downtime and maximum user satisfaction. • Streamline troubleshooting of LAN/WAN activities, significantly enhancing network uptime and performance. • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Cisco DNA Center operations. • Collaborate with relevant teams to address vulnerabilities identified in network devices, mitigating potential security risks. • Utilize and administer basic security tools to monitor and analyze network activity, contributing to the safeguarding of organizational assets. • Participate in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging security trends. • Work extensively with routing and switching services involving Cisco Catalyst 9500/9300, 6807 VSS, and Catalyst platforms. • Gain hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Classic switches, Cisco ISR G2/ASR routers, Cisco FTD firewalls, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Access Points. • Build networks following standard configurations and industry best practices using Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and various platforms. • Troubleshoot and manage Software Defined Networking (SDN) and SoftwareDefined Access (SDA) environments. • Perform Vulnerability Assessments (VA) on network devices using Nessus and address identified vulnerability issues accordingly. • Collaborate with Cisco TAC during incidents, raising cases, and working jointly to ensure prompt issue resolution. • Apply foundational knowledge of TCP/IP protocols to support network infrastructure and resolve connectivity issues. • Utilize the ticketing tool TopDesk for efficient incident management, task assignment, and report generation to track progress and measure performance. • Implement ITIL framework principles to close incident records within defined timelines, minimizing client impact and service outages.

What we are looking for
- • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- • 2+ years of experience as network engineer.
- • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing & Switching etc.).
- • Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- • Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies
